Relics Band Performing Live on the Boundary Waters Patio - Saturday May 23rd at 4pm
Saturday, May 23, 2020
Relics from Green Bay was formed a little over two years ago starting with Dale on Sax and flute along with Roy on bass. Dale and Roy had played together in a blues band and then decided to strike out on their own with a unique sound to the oldies from the 60’s and 70’s. This different approach has caught on with those that come out to hear them. It’s a new approach to classic hits from back in the day, when gas was a quarter a gallon, black and white TV, along with long hair and mini skirts and “Don’t trust anyone over 30”. Soon after starting to practice, Bill on drums was added, (its been said he played drums for Moses when he parted the red sea). After many tries to find the right guitarist and lead vocals, Relics was blessed to find Chris. He adds that younger feel to the oldies. From Chicago to Van Morrison to The Hollies and more, Relics gets people off their seats and on the dance floor and keeps them there. Of course, beer and restroom breaks are squeezed in for the crowd. We play music that people say…have not heard that song in ages… its great! Check out our video on facebook.com/relicsbandgreenbay recorded at Porterfield Cruisin Oldies 2019.
We have IDEAS not just music.
